Find a Beauty Editor To Follow

I do a lot of beauty research and love speaking to Makeup Artists everywhere I go. The common beauty threads we share, the passion for color and beauty.

Recently I have stumbled upon a new hobby, following beauty editors that are risk takers. Always ready to throw caution to the wind, beauty editors are willing to try and do just about anything. No matter the outcome. You gotta love their spirit!

One such beauty editor I love to follow is Renee Jacques from Allure Magazine. She's young, daring, and passionate-she'll try anything that's trending in beauty. I've come to admire her frank, fun journalism and photos, not so much because I keep up with every passing trend on a personal level, but because in the "straight-makeup" commercial advertising world (mostly natural looks) that I work in, changing beauty trends are not often welcome.

I live vicariously through her beauty conquests! More over she exposes me directly to up and coming stylists and takes the guess work out of finding the good ones to follow and learn from. She recently did a couple great articles on Kylie Kardashian's 20 year old makeup artist Ariel Tejada, and then on Brow Tattooing in New York by a woman named Kapil.

So with that I encourage you to find a beauty editor that is fun, daring and introduces you to the latest and greatest in the beautiful, sometimes crazy but oh so inspiring world of beauty.

Dream In Color, Work Hard, Be Well, Be Blessed!
